Big Red - 12 Year Old Thoroughbred Gelding

17-hand, 12-year-old Thoroughbred gelding (unraced)

Big Red is a kind Thoroughbred with a smooth, reliable, hunter-friendly way of going. He started under saddle at age five, and he’s been at Golden Gate Equestrian in consistent hunter/jumper training for the past seven months, schooling 2’6”/2’9” over fences and First Level Dressage. He’s just starting to get his flying changes. Forward but sensible, he’s fun to ride and a confidence-builder for an amateur.

He’s sound, has light miles, full vet records, and is straightforward on the ground. A knowledgeable home—ideally with some OTTB experience—would be perfect. Price is negotiable to the right home. Owner is also open to a feed lease in barn.

Charlie is a wonderful show jumper with so much to offer to someone wanting to move up and get more experience. He is available for in barn half lease. Owner is off to college. He can teach you from the cross rails up to 2’9”. He also is a beautiful Eq horse and has been successful in both arenas.
